Ironclad Dreadnought of the Outcasts

Ancient Belius, currently in the custody of the Ordo Xenos
Finished an Ironclad Dreadnought for my new Blood Ravens offshoot army last night. Looking around a couple weeks back, I realized I have enough unpainted, unassembled Space Marine models lying around to make up an entire 1,500-point army. Not a great army, mind, but a legal one.

Of course, any new army and/or paint scheme needs a test model. Something to paint up to make sure the idea in your head matches up to something your hands are actually capable of. Enter Ancient Belius, one of two Dreadnoughts who, according to the fluff of this sect, have been taken into the custody of an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor to await judgement on the actions of the Blood Ravens chapter as a whole.

As a test model, Belius wasn't actually supposed to be included in the planned army. This was supposed to just be a simple color layout to make sure everything worked the way it should. But the more I got into this model, the more detail I wanted to add. Now I've got no choice but to include this iron hardass in the list somewhere.

Somehow, I doubt he'll mind having the opportunity to prove his loyalty to the Imperium.

Welcome to the Party.

Let's get the simple stuff out of the way. My name is Jason. Nice to meet you.

For four years now, I've been bouncing back and forth between Orks and Space Marines armies in Warhammer 40,000. Sadly, I don't get to play very often. What I do get to do is paint. Some days I'm even decent at it.

Blood Ravens, my chapter of choice.

That's where this blog comes in. There a wide old Internet out there, connecting millions -- maybe even billions -- of people. And there's a chance, however slim, that someone might be interested in what I do. In fact, I wonder if I might even make a little coin off it. Not so much to retire to a private island somewhere, but maybe just enough to offset the increasing cost of this hobby.

Green is best.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be putting up more and more pictures of my completed models. Should have a nice Ironclad Dreadnought finished soon, so that could be fun. And if you, you hapless traveler, might want me to paint some of your models (save yourself the hassle, you know?), feel free to contact me. If you just want to offer compliments, suggestions, or to tell me I suck, that would be fine too.

Simple Deffkopta konversion.

Except for that last bit. Keep that to yourself.
